The bicorne or bicorn (two-cornered) is an archaic form of hat widely adopted in the 1790s as an item of uniform by European and American military and naval officers. It is now most readily associated with Napoléon Bonaparte but in practice most generals and staff officers of the Napoleonic period wore bicornes, and it survived as a widely worn full-dress headdress until at least 1914.

LMAO this is so randomly cute ^-^ I was JUST watching something on the History Channel or somerthing where they think Napoleon might have been assassinated using arsenic poisoning, instead of the popular belief that he died of stomach cancer. Who knows?
Anyway, the guy at the forefront of the conspiracy theory that Napoleon was poisoned is an ardent Napoleon fan, and he collects a lot of Napoleonic treasures, and he ACTUALLY HAS one of the hats of Napoleon Bonaparte HIMSELF. It’s old and starting to come apart, but it’s one of Napoleon’s REAL hats. I thought that was amazing.
